George Mardigian has done just about everything in the world of wellness and fitness over the past 20 years. He’s marketed some of the industry’s leading fitness products and services, and currently owns a popular Oakland full service gym. As a personal trainer over the past 6 years, George’s specialty is in-home personal training, where he works with clients one on one customizing workouts based on their fitness goals and available space.
Want George to “build you up” through a progressive resistance plan? Sure, he can do that; Lose 10 pounds before the wedding? Absolutely (and you won’t starve doing it); Got a triathlon in a month or an upcoming Olympic bobsled event, you’ll be ready. Or… if you’re aiming a little lower, and would be content to climb some stairs, bend over or reach up without cursing, he’s definitely your guy. His goal starting out is always to get you more fully functional to take on the world, then progress you mightily from there.
Working out takes mind over matter, persistence and a lot of hard work, and it’s not always a feel good experience, but George asks the question “Why is that?” He answers with workouts that are effective, fun, energizing, and always varied, while keeping what works and throwing to the curb what doesn’t. Over time his clients view him as an indispensable part of their fitness lives.
George holds a current ACE certification with specializations in Senior Fitness, Orthopedic Training, Sports Performance and Weight Management. He is also TRX qualified and Schwinn Indoor Cycling certified.
